This is a very appropriate video for me to see, as it is exactly what is going on in the Netherlands (where i'm from) right now. Our government is making HUGE cuts in the arts budget (because arts are only "silly hobbies for left wingers"), and on top of that, they are increasing the added value tax (is that called GST over here?), which will make museum and concerts tickets etc even more expensive, and thus making it more difficult for the arts sector to attract people.
A few weeks ago a group of artists placed an pretty good ad in the New York Times that just about sums it up.
